Thanks to MySuperFoods for helping us provide 27,000 meals to kids and their families this year.
Last year, Food Lifeline provided the equivalent of 9.84 million meals to over 270,000 children in Western Washington. Every day, Food Lifeline works to ensure that all children have access to healthy food. Throughout the year, we provide nutritious meals and snacks to kids after school and during the summer months through our Kids Café program. We increase access to fresh fruit and vegetables for kids and their families through our network of 270 food assistance programs and with direct outreach to underserved communities with our Mobile Food Pantry and Meals for Minds program.
In addition, our Public Policy and Research Department works with national, state, and local anti-hunger groups to increase awareness of child hunger and strengthen the safety net. We work to educate elected officials on hunger issues and advocate for city, state, and federal legislation that impacts child hunger.
