“We are loving the new products in Shop the Dock. The prepared casseroles from Costco, the salad kits, the jugs of milk, cartons of juice, yogurts and cottage cheese, and the ability to grab what we can store without the fear of over storage.  LOVE IT!” – Christine O’Brien, House Manager, Lincoln Park Group Home

The Shop the Dock program helps us distribute food that is close to the end of its shelf life, but can still be used at meal programs, shelters, or during same-day distributions. After piloting this program with agencies in King County over the past several months, we’re happy to announce that Shop the Dock’s doors are now open to all of our partner agencies! The product is FREE and available in our warehouse on a first-come, first-served basis.

We’ve seen a variety of produce, dairy, and ready-to-eat meals come through – much of it from well-known brands like Costco, Charlie’s Produce, and SUPERVALU.

Any agency willing to pick up food from the Hunger Solution Center is invited to Shop the Dock as often as you’d like. That’s right! There is no limit on the number of visits you make.

“Every day we’re bringing in more and more produce. As you empty out today, we’re full again tomorrow.” – Jeffrey Iwasaki, Director of Inventory & Quality, Food Lifeline

Shop the Dock hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

If you have not used Shop the Dock and would like to, please contact us at agencyrelations@foodlifeline.org. We’ll help you get set up!
