Corporate Spotlight: AHBL

By January 20, 2017July 16th, 2018No Comments

This company holds nothing back when it comes to being a superhero against hunger. AHBL, a local engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm brings the fun to fundraising through their participation in Food Frenzy. Employees compete against other companies in their sector and against others in their office to accrue points by donating dollars and volunteering. On top of bake sales, special lunches and breakfasts, their Principals courageously face an onslaught of water balloons, each purchased for a “donation”.

Like many Food Frenzy companies, AHBL helps repack and sort donated food with Food Lifeline. Recently their team helped assemble snack packs that would be distributed through Food Lifeline’s KidsCafe program. For the three years AHBL has participated in Food Frenzy, their team has raised over $11,000 for Food Lifeline, making over 55,000 meals possible. They have also given over 119 volunteer hours repacking thousands of pounds of food for our community.

As AHBL’s Food Frenzy coordinator, Andrea Sauter, shares, “It is a wonderful honor to get to introduce people to volunteering at Food Lifeline, and spread the word about how fun and rewarding it is.  It is always a meaningful experience, and is my favorite way to participate in Food Frenzy.”
