Summer should be a time to relax and have fun, but for many kids and families, the lack of access to free school meals in the summer pushes already stretched budgets to the breaking point.

These 17 organizations have all taken a leading role in helping families facing hunger during these challenging summer months by sponsoring our Food Frenzy fundraiser. They all share a passion for supporting their communities and giving back.

Sound Community Bank returns as our presenting sponsor for the seventh year. For them, Food Frenzy is “a fun combination of volunteerism, fundraising, and donating,” said Cristina Buenbrazo, Marketing Coordinator. They have participated for 12 years and look forward to supporting Food Lifeline every year. “Giving back to the community is at the heart of our work,” said Buenbrazo.

JPC Architects, a commercial architectural and design firm headquartered in Bellevue, has been participating in Food Frenzy for over 14 years. In 2022, they raised nearly $16,000 with 70 employees. This year, they are setting the challenge to raise $20,000. They believe in Food Lifeline’s mission to feed people experiencing hunger today while working to end hunger for tomorrow. “We want to support our community,” they said, “and can do so by participating in Food Frenzy.”

For two action packed weeks July 14-28, these organizations, along with dozens of other businesses and community groups, will collect food donations, volunteer at the Hunger Solution Center, and host fundraisers that benefit Food Lifeline. Organizations who participate find they love the opportunity to give back to their community, the camaraderie of working with their colleagues toward a common goal, and the fun of creating and participating in new games and events.

Last year, 70 companies participated in Food Frenzy, raising a total of $615,000 and accruing 2,261 volunteer hours. We’re still accepting entries for this year’s Food Frenzy Competition, and our need has never been more urgent. To learn more about getting involved or register a team, visit

Thank you Food Frenzy Sponsors, for helping to ensure all kids have the foods they need to learn, grow, and thrive this summer!
