Corporate Donor of the Month: Windermere Foundation

By October 18, 2023No Comments

Food Lifeline is proud to recognize the Windermere Foundation and their many real estate offices as our October Corporate Donor of the Month.

The relationship between Food Lifeline and Windermere began more than 15 years ago.  We’ve had the privilege to partner together on many holiday food and fund drives and shred events. We’ve welcomed employees and agents into the Hunger Solution Center to volunteer and have been the recipient of generous Foundation grants.

“We love partnering with Food Lifeline because of our shared dedication for building better communities,” says Rebecca Roberts, Transaction Coordinator for Windermere Northgate.

The Windermere Foundation, which has been supporting communities for more than 30 years, receives its funding from its agents who donate a portion of their commission for each home sold.  “Our funding model allows for each individual Windermere office to fund the organizations in their communities that they feel are doing the most impactful work”, shares Franny Wood Frederickson, Windermere Foundation Outreach Director.  “Our offices love this model because they get to have a direct say in where their fundraised dollars are directed.”  During its 30 year history, the Foundation has donated more than $50 million to support more than 500 organizations.

On Monday, November 6th, you can help raise funds for Food Lifeline and the many nonprofits the Foundation supports by attending the inaugural Windermere Foundation Comedy Night.  The evening will feature SNL head writer and co-host of “The Weekend Update,” Colin Jost, and will be hosted at Fremont Studios from 5:30pm – 9pm.

Thank you Windermere offices and the Windermere Foundation for your ongoing support as we work together to #ShredHunger in our communities.
