Cloud Paper Kicks Off Corporate Season of Giving

During the holidays, heartfelt gifts come in all shapes and sizes. For those that are experiencing hunger, it can come in the shape of a box of fresh produce, or a case of milk and cheese. But one Northwest company is making a gift that you might not expect.

“We’ve decided to donate 100,000 rolls of our bamboo toilet paper this holiday season”, says Cloud Paper co-founder Ryan Fritsch.

You might wonder why toilet paper is important to help those facing hunger, but Cloud Paper’s Tori Kiss makes it simple.

“There are people out there that are struggling to get enough food, and every dollar they have to spend on essentials like toilet paper is a dollar that’s not being spent on food.”

Toilet paper is an expensive, and recently, an often-difficult item to locate. Cloud Paper is making sure its neighbors have more toilet paper, and more money for food during the Food Lifeline Season of Giving campaign.

Cloud Paper is also leading the way in the Season of Giving corporate match outreach. Collectively, a pool of businesses of all types, have combined to create a $100,000 Corporate Challenge. These businesses including Mc Clendon Hardware, E & J Gallo, and Continental Mills hope to inspire others to step up to end hunger during our Season of Giving campaign.

For Fritsch, it’s what he’s always imagined since starting Cloud Paper just last year.

“We, from the very beginning have always wanted Cloud Paper to be a positive force for good out in the world. This was a no-brainer. It’s just in the DNA of our company.”

Thank you to Cloud Paper for thinking of those needing a hand this holiday season, for inspiring other corporate donors, and for showing the world that hunger doesn’t have to happen this Season of Giving.
