Candidate Questionnaire
Food Lifeline invited every candidate for the Washington State Legislature to complete our 2026 Vote to End Hunger Candidate Questionnaire, asking how they would address hunger and food insecurity, strengthen the food security safety net, and support a strong and resilient Washington food system. The questions were developed with input from food banks, food pantries, and community leaders across Washington. We invite you to read their responses below and learn how participating candidates are thinking about hunger, food access, and food security in the communities they seek to represent.
Food Lifeline is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization and is prohibited from participating or intervening in any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office. Our goal is to elevate the issues of hunger and its causes with candidates and voters during each election cycle.
