On July 1 the U.S. Senate voted 51-50 to severely cut SNAP and Medicaid through its version of the budget bill. 1 million Washingtonians could lose nutritional assistance.The biggest cut to nutritional assistance in history, preliminary estimates show the Senate version cuts nearly $200 billion from SNAP—or 20%.
