Land Acknowledgement

The South Park community, where the Food Lifeline warehouse stands, is on the traditional land of the Duwamish Tribe. Let us be reminded of the Duwamish Tribe and their deep connection to local food: As the first people of this area, the tribe fished, foraged, and cultivated crops near the Duwamish River. As we continue our movement to feed our neighbors facing hunger, we acknowledge, with gratitude, their enduring care for our land and waterways.
