Be a Leader for Food Justice to make immediate and lasting change
Food Lifeline board members serve as bold advocates for equitable access to food as a human right. Board members guide the strategic vision for Food Lifeline in support of our community, striving towards dismantling the root causes of poverty and hunger to help shape a more just and thriving food system for Western Washington.
We especially welcome leaders with experience in food systems, equity, finance, legal, advocacy, fundraising, social services, or grassroots organizing. People with lived experience of food insecurity are strongly encouraged to apply.

Our Board members are essential to making deeply impactful systemic and lasting change to solve hunger in Western Washington.
As a member of our board, you will:
- Use your voice, experience, and networks to amplify our mission and impact

- Contribute 4–6 hours every month by attending and actively engaging in regular board meetings and joining at least one committee
The board recruitment process starts in the fall with applications due in February. Following interviews, selected applications are notified in April and expected to attend their first board meeting in June.
