Bartell’s Will “Stock the Shelves” For Food Lifeline

By June 6, 2022No Comments

Bartell’s is one of the most iconic local brands in the Pacific Northwest. For 131 years, the retail chain has served local customers with local products, expert pharmacy care, and friendly service.

But in the month of June, Bartell’s is doing something special for the neighbors it serves across the region.

Through June 30th, Bartell’s is teaming up with its customers for “Stock the Shelves”, a community food drive that will benefit Food Lifeline and its food bank partners.

All month, customers can make a donation of non-perishable foods at any of Bartell’s Puget Sound locations. Customers also have the option of donating cash at the register.

All donations will help food Lifeline stock the shelves of more than 350 food banks, shelters, and meal programs across Western Washington.

“Bartell’s has made a commitment to helping feed our neighbors who are still struggling after the pandemic”, says Ryan Scott, Chief Development Officer for Food Lifeline. “We are proud to have the Bartell’s team as partners in the effort to feed those experiencing hunger.”

With today’s rising inflation, the cost of delivering food to those who need it has increased dramatically. When you make a donation to Stock the Shelves, you’re ensuring that local food banks have the food they need to serve the more than one million people who are food insecure in Western Washington.
