Amazon and Procter & Gamble Double Down on Hunger

By December 11, 2020No Comments

Amazon and Procter & Gamble are getting in the holiday spirit by stepping up with gifts of household and personal care items for those facing hunger this year.

From now until February, every product donated to Food Lifeline through amazon’s CharityList will be matched by Procter & Gamble as a part of its Double Your Impact program.

This year, more than 2.2 million people in Washington are experiencing hunger due to the Covid-19 crisis and its economic impact. That’s two-and-a-half times as many people as last year. Gifts of non-food items have a tremendous impact on a person’s ability to keep food on the table.

“For every dollar’s worth of non-food items a person or family receives, that’s a dollar they have available to purchase food”, says Food Lifeline President and CEO, Linda Nageotte. “This is a tremendous gift that will have an impact well past the holidays.”

Amazon and Procter & Gamble will join dozens of other corporate partners this year in Food Lifeline’s Season of Giving campaign.
