A MOD Season of Giving

There are several members of the MOD Pizza staff who are familiar with hunger.

“I have been homeless many times in my life”, says one employee “I can’t even count how many times working multiple jobs, the only meal I have for the day is the shift meal given from working in the restaurant and leaving what little I have for my kids.”

This hits right at the heart of the real hunger problem in Western Washington. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people are struggling to keep food on the table, even though they are working full-time. Whether it’s an unexpected car repair – or a large medical bill – financial insecurity is at the root of hunger.

That’s why MOD Pizza employees are excited to “Spread Modness”. They’ll join Food Lifeline’s Season of Giving campaign this year to help those that are experiencing hunger.

From November 22-25, MOD Pizza will be donating 20% of all sales from its 48 Western Washington stores to Food Lifeline!

With lines at food banks nearly doubled during the pandemic, the timing couldn’t be better. Right now 1 in 5 people here are experiencing food insecurity. Much like one “MOD Squad” member did years ago.

“I remember growing up and using the free lunch program and participating in the local youth programs where you would get a free lunch. I am inspired by Spreading MODness because, in all my years in the food industry business, I have never been a part of a company that gives so much.”

For pizza fans in Western Washington, this is a great chance to “get your mod on”, eat a little pizza, and help those who are struggling this holiday season”.

Thank you MOD Pizza. For what you believe in, and for those you help.
