Susan Will Enjoy a Holiday Dinner, Thanks to You

Susan is grateful for you. Retired and living alone, she survives on very limited Social Security and relies heavily on the food she receives from Food Lifeline.

“I count my blessings, because I am like one check away from being out on the street,” Susan says.

Once a week, Susan drops by the food bank to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other staples like milk, juice, meat, and cheese. She’s always thankful for everything she receives. But as the holidays draw near, she’s extra thankful because she knows she’ll find food items to prepare a festive dinner — a holiday meal she would otherwise go without.

“I can find all the staples I need, like cranberries and stuffing, for a traditional holiday dinner,” Susan says.

Your support this holiday season will provide people facing hunger — like Susan — with more than nutritious food. You’ll also be lifting their spirits with a bit of holiday cheer. Thank you for caring and sharing for the sake of our neighbors in need of food!
