Stamp Out Hunger 2016

By June 10, 2016July 16th, 2018No Comments

On May 14, Stamp Out Hunger was a huge success across Western Washington. This event is the country’s largest single-day food drive. The annual drive was created by the National Association of Letter Carriers in response to the need they saw every day on their routes. You might recognize the event known for its distinctive blue bags.

This year, Letter Carriers collected 396,958 pounds of food and over $14,000 given in donations, providing over 403,000 meals for our hungry neighbors!

Our sincerest thanks to everyone who supported Stamp Out Hunger 2016! A special thanks to our sponsors: NALC Branch 79, Design Laboratory, Inc., Fred Meyer and KOMO 4. Food from the drive helps Food Lifeline fill the shelves of food banks, shelters and meal programs from the neighborhoods it was collected in. You can still make a donation!
