Spring Letter From Linda

Linda Nageotte, President and CEO of Food Lifeline

Dear Friends,

It can be tough for many of our most vulnerable neighbors, especially the thousands of older adults in their retirement years. Many weren’t able to save enough to keep up with the rising cost of living. They often have to choose between healthy food or paying their other bills. Choices no one should have to make.

Thankfully, your support is reaching those struggling men and women living across Western Washington through our network of food banks. Every dollar you donate to Food Lifeline helps these partners keep their shelves stocked with senior-friendly foods that are low in salt and sugar and high in nutrition.

This month, you’ll read about neighbors like Judy, who not only receives food, but has been inspired to give back to her community by serving at her local pantry as a volunteer. Her story highlights how we can all be partners to solve hunger, no matter what our individual situations may be.

Our senior neighbors are so grateful that you’re helping them live healthier, happier lives.

While we all know that hunger is a constant threat to countless families and individuals in our communities, I find hope in caring people like you. Thank you so much for being there for the people who need you the most!

Sincerely,

Linda Nageotte
