Simply Seattle is the home team of retailers, and they’re using their home team advantage to help feed those experiencing hunger in Western Washington.
Last year, Simply Seattle teamed up with Food Lifeline by donating a portion of its trademark hoodie sales to end hunger.
With a $4 donation for every hoodie sold, the Simply Seattle team raised more than $15,000 in donations, creating 75,000 meals.
This year, they’re at it again. For every $25 hoodie sold, Simply Seattle is donating 25 meals to Food Lifeline.
Owner Jamie Munson says Food Lifeline’s work fits right in with Simply Seattle’s philosophy of community giving.
“We’re thankful for the opportunity to give back and love that we can combine what we do well, make fun Seattle sports and Pacific Northwest-inspired apparel. People get a great product at a great price and get to support a great cause in the process.”
Donations from the Simply Seattle hoodie campaign will help support the 350 food banks, shelters, and meal programs that Food Lifeline serves every day. These dollars will also help Food Lifeline build its capacity, manage new client-inspired and community-led programs, and provide culturally appropriate foods to communities that face food insecurity.
