At The Table

Holiday Letter from Linda

Dear Friends,

With the holidays just around the corner, many of us are looking forward to spending time with friends and family, sharing a meal together and expressing gratitude for all the good things in our lives. I can’t wait to sit down with my loved ones around a full table and catch up on the year’s events.

During this special season, it’s important that we remember our neighbors who aren’t able to afford such celebrations. For people throughout our community who live paycheck to paycheck, a financial setback like a job loss, illness or car breakdown can cause a cascade of challenges — including hunger.

Because you choose to give, Food Lifeline is able to distribute good, quality food to folks across Western Washington who might otherwise go without. Through partnering with farmers, grocery stores, food banks and meal programs, we’re changing lives together throughout the year.

I’m truly inspired by your investment in this important work. By funding innovative programs, you’re sharing hope in the form of food with those in need, and making an environmental impact by limiting food waste.

Please take a few minutes to read about some of your neighbors who benefit from your gifts. In this holiday issue of At The Table, you’ll meet families like Sandy’s. When you read her story, you’ll understand the difference you make for people on the brink of losing hope. The life-change in these pages would not be possible without the generosity of people like you.

Looking back at the past year and our move to the Hunger Solution Center, I can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make together during 2017. Thank you, sincerely, for making our work possible. You bring hope to so many people!

Happy Holidays,
