Giving Together

With the economic impacts of the pandemic, Town & Country Markets recognized that food banks like Food Lifeline have seen a dramatic increase in demand. Back in March, the company began discussing a program that could inspire the community to come together to help others.

“This program is as much a partnership with our customers as with the food banks,” says Susan Allen, shareholder and senior director of Brand Development. “We asked ourselves who we can be for our communities in this time of need, and the Giving Together program is the result of those conversations.”

In July, the Giving Together program kicked off, and Town & Country’s customers’ response was overwhelming. In just the first 10 days, they donated thousands of pounds of pantry staples and several thousand dollars. Food Lifeline is proud to partner with Town & County Markets, a company truly rooted in caring about the well-being of their customers, business partners, communities, and each other.

Food Lifeline’s work is only possible thanks to the support of our community, and when you support our partners like Town & Country Markets, you are helping ensure that people experiencing hunger in Western Washington have access to the nutritious food they want and need.
