April is National Volunteer Recognition Month

All of us at Food Lifeline wish to thank our dedicated volunteers – your commitment and hard work each day is essential to fulfilling our mission! Thank you for your giving heart, tenacity, and inspiring commitment!

Each month, an average of 1,000 Food Lifeline volunteers contributes average of 4,000 hours of service. In our volunteer production program, volunteers sort and repack 620,000 pounds of food and our Shop the Dock volunteer team members, sort and facilitate an additional 150,000 pounds of food for distribution to meal programs and food banks.

25% of our volunteers serve in leadership roles – these volunteers make significant contributions and measurable impacts on food production, distribution, communication and community building, and work closely in a variety of roles alongside staff and volunteers.

Please consider joining us through a weekly commitment as valuable ambassadors, partner, and team-members. We have interesting and challenging opportunities in our Production Corps and Shop the Dock roles and throughout our organization. Let us know your interests at volunteer@foodlifeline.org
