2021 WA State Legislative Update

Food Lifeline’s public policy platform aims to meet immediate hunger needs today while solving food insecurity for the future.  Every day we work to ensure the root causes of hunger are addressed through local, state and national advocacy efforts.  We focus on food systems, hunger & health, hunger prevention, poverty, equity and social justice.   Food Lifeline’s advocacy continues as state lawmakers convene in an unprecedented virtual session. Legislative sessions are dynamic. Information in this report is up to date at the time of this writing, March 9, 2021, 50 days into the 2021 Regular Session.  Read the complete report here.  For reference, many of these priorities are included in Governor Inslee’s 2021-2023 budget proposal.
