Each year at Food Lifeline’s Dress Down Hunger Event, we highlight a few very special people and organizations who go above and beyond in the movement to end hunger. Please join us in celebrating the outstanding contributions our 2019 Ending Hunger Award recipients have made to prove hunger doesn’t have to happen!

Tom Haley Memorial Award: Dan and Cindy Brettler

Dan and Cindy Brettler have been important partners of Food Lifeline for many years. By bringing their support to Food Lifeline and local organizations that are addressing the root causes of hunger, the Brettlers are making lasting change in our community.

Outstanding Corporate Donor: Fred Meyer and QFC

Fred Meyer and QFC have gone above and beyond in their efforts to address hunger. By engaging their leadership, staff, and customers, this pair of partners has helped to create millions upon millions of meals for our neighbors experiencing hunger.

Special Appreciation Award: Representative Mia Gregerson, Representative Tina Orwall, and Senator Karen Keiser

These incredible representatives from the 33rd district work tirelessly to support legislature that protects and empowers those in need. Together, they recently championed a capitol budget project that will allow Food Lifeline to build our capacity, ensuring more people have access to nutritious food.

Equity Champion Award: Northwest Immigrant Rights Project

The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project is doing critical work to protect immigrant rights, and their access to food, during a tumultuous political climate.
