What do each of these situations have in common?

In addition to having wholesome extra food, each of these food providers can directly donate this food to a hot meal program in their neighborhood through Seattle's Table.

Started in 1989, Food Lifeline’s Seattle's Table is a nationally recognized program that captures prepared and perishable foods from local restaurants, hotels, universities and corporate cafeterias. This food is then delivered directly to 50 meal programs throughout King County, turning surplus food into hot meals for people in need. 

Without Food Lifeline applying a logistal solution to this problem, millions of pounds of healthy and nutritious food would end up in local landfills.

Food Lifeline works closely with Public Health Seattle & King County to ensure the highest levels of food safety. We then hold regular trainings with program partners, and provide supplies and equipment which ensures that every program meal is safe and healthy meal.
