The budget reconciliation bill will reduce funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) nationwide by $200 billion. In addition, the bill requires many people receiving SNAP benefits to prove they are working at least 80 hours a month, increasing the complexity of filing for these benefits.
