Celebrating Linda Nageotte's 25 Years Leading Food Lifeline

After 25 years in the role of President & CEO at Food Lifeline, Linda Nageotte will be stepping into the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Feeding America.

During her 25 years with Food Lifeline, Linda has led the organization in addressing hunger’s root causes through bold public policy advocacy, systems change, and a deep commitment to racial equity and social justice. Under her leadership, the organization grew from distributing 8 million pounds of food annually to more than 75 million pounds in 2023. In 2012, Feeding America named Linda as a John van Hengel Fellow, which recognizes a network food bank executive for excellence in leadership, local impact and national influence, and entrepreneurial spirit in hunger relief. Feeding America also recognized her as the executive director of the year in 2010.

In her new role at Feeding America, Linda will be using expertise gained leading Food Lifeline to help to define and implement strategy for the organization, build and invest in systems rooted in equity, co-lead work to design a new strategic framework for the entire network, and oversee a critical portfolio including sourcing and supplying food, network relations, technology, research and innovation, and board governance.

We will miss Linda as a leader, colleague, and friend here at Food Lifeline, but are excited to see her advance the Food Justice movement on the national level.
