Join the Fight for Military Family Food Security in Washington State
As the lines outside food pantries with families needing emergency hunger relief continue to grow in our state, local agencies have noticed a significant uptick in active duty servicemembers, and their dependents, seeking resources to combat food insecurity.
Military families are a vital cornerstone of Washington communities – and given the sacrifices they make every day to protect our homes and livelihoods, they deserve nutrition security at home.
On Wednesday, September 29th, at 12pm, Food Lifeline is convening a virtual community townhall to examine the systemic issues confronting military families in Washington. Together, we’ll discuss what actions we can take now to provide the foundational supports military families need to thrive.
Join front-line emergency hunger relief agencies, State and Federal legislators, military families, and the Food Lifeline team as we work towards the goal of universal food security for military families in Washington state.
