Olympic Hot Tub’s 9th Founder’s Event Supports Food Lifeline, Raising Over $20,000 for Food Security
For the past nine years, Olympic Hot Tub has been dedicated to strengthening Northwest communities, with a particular focus on addressing food insecurity—a cause deeply important to founders Alice Cunningham and Blair Osborn. The annual Founders Event was created to honor their legacy and continue their commitment to philanthropy.
Each year, Olympic Hot Tub selects a nonprofit organization whose mission aligns with the values Alice and Blair championed. In October 2025, Food Lifeline was honored as the selected partner.
“Alice & Blair, both brilliant businesspeople, were passionate about a number of worthwhile causes. They shared a concern about the importance of ending hunger in our region. We are so pleased to help Food Lifeline. It’s incredibly important to do what we can to help.”
Don Riling, Olympic Hot Tub President
During the month of October, Olympic Hot Tubs donated a portion of sales to Food Lifeline, raising more than $20,000 to support our neighbors experiencing hunger. They also collected food and donations at their 8 retail locations that they donated to Food Lifeline.
“Food Lifeline is grateful for generous partners like Olympic Hot Tub especially at a time when rates of hunger are reaching a decade high,” said Gabriela Garayar, Director of Development at Food Lifeline. “Don and his team created an opportunity through Founders Day which has had profound impact to keeping our neighbors nourished. It takes the power of our entire community to keep Western Washington thriving.”
On December 2, Gabriela and Food Lifeline’s Event Coordinator, Katie Kowalsky, met with Don Riley at the Seattle store to hear more about the legacy he carries on and share the impact this gift will have in our communities.
“With everything going on in the world today surrounding hunger, we felt this was the perfect time to find a great organization to be the beneficiary of this year’s Founder’s Event that is doing great work in our region,” said Don. “We were pleased the event was a success!”
Thank you to Don and the entire team at Olympic Hot Tub for their partnership in ensuring all our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.
