We Welcome Stephen Davis as our New President/CEO
We are excited to announce we have hired Stephen Davis as our new President/CEO. Stephen was previously the President/CEO of Harvesters—The Community Food Network in Kansas City, Missouri.
I am so excited to join the Food Lifeline team as the President and CEO. I look forward to fulfilling our mission and strategic plan priorities. I love the work we get to do as food bankers, how we can work in deep collaboration with our communities, and how our work continues to evolve to meet the needs of our neighbors.
-Stephen Davis
A native of Washington state, Stephen graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He later completed his MBA at Mid-America Nazarene University and has been the President/CEO of Harvesters since 2022. He served as the Chief Operating Officer at Harvesters for 7 years prior to his tenure as President and CEO. Before Harvesters, he worked nearly 11 years with the Blue Valley Unified School District in Overland Park, Kansas, as the Director of Budget and Business Operations. Before that, Stephen served more than eight years in the school food service industry as Director of Food and Nutrition Services and then later as Area Manager for Sodexho Management Services at facilities in Oregon, Nevada, and California.
“Stephen brings the strategic insight, operational experience, and deep community commitment that this moment demands,” said Benjamin Hill, Board Chair of Food Lifeline. “We’re confident he will lead Food Lifeline forward with humility, purpose, and a strong focus on equity as we work to end hunger across Western Washington.”
Stephen will lead us as we launch a four-year, community-informed strategic plan focused on strengthening and supporting the resilience of our 300+ agency partners, expanding access to culturally relevant foods, increasing resources in communities historically excluded from food systems, and amplifying a collective voice to create stronger policies and lasting solutions to food insecurity.
Stephen will begin his new position October 27 as he relocates to Seattle. Please join us in welcoming him!
