Corporate Donor of the Month – Design Laboratory, Inc.

Bellevue-based professional consulting firm Design Laboratory, Inc. (DLI) has played a major role in our hunger-relief work in recent years. Lyndsy Atkins, DLI’s director of personnel, first learned about Food Lifeline when one of her employees told her about his experience volunteering. Since then, she’s coordinated associates’ monthly volunteer efforts in our Hunger Solution Center and for other Food Lifeline events.

“We have been partnering and volunteering with Food lifeline for over seven years, and each experience makes me smile. From Saturday Repacks, Stamp Out Hunger, School Pantry and of course the Dress Down Hunger Events – I enjoy each opportunity.”

Over the years, DLI’s involvement in alleviating hunger has expanded to include participation in Stamp Out Hunger, when neighbors across the United States donate food at their mailboxes. For the past three years, DLI associates have been spending the day of the drive at the Bellevue post office collecting nonperishable food from various letter carriers for delivery to our facility. DLI also sponsors the auction at Dress Down Hunger, Food Lifeline’s annual fundraising event.

Each special volunteer role DLI associates play makes a real impact in the movement to end hunger – and their team is enthusiastic about how their work changes lives.

Our special thanks to Lyndsy and everyone at Design Laboratory who have made the commitment to help end hunger for our neighbors facing food insecurity. Your efforts make a difference every day!

The dedication of everyone at Food Lifeline definitely impacts our community in a positive way. Thank you for partnering and volunteering with Food Lifeline so great!
