TEXT:
Free Food for Allis headquartered on Capitol Hill and serves communities throughout the Seattle area. In addition to downtown Seattle, the organization brings food to neighborhoods and communities including South Park, Rainier Beach, and Burien.
Why partner with Food Lifeline?
“You guys are a great resource. I mean, if you’re wanting to feed people, then we need to partner with somebody who has food.”
What are some challenges you see in the fall?
“The challenges are only when there’s just not enough food – Opportunities are as many as you want to find.”
What keeps you going? What are you most proud of?
“Feeding people. That’s it. What could you be more proud of than that?” It’s just a great thing to be able to get food to people who need it.”
For Ted, every delivery is more than a route, it’s an opportunity to make a difference. With a van full of food and a commitment to his community, he shows up for neighbors, helping put meals on tables for families across the Seattle area.
