Community Justice Alliance Celebration & Next Cohort Launch!
We’re thrilled to share that our most recent Community Justice Alliance Advocates (CJA) cohort has officially graduated! This inspiring group of community members came together to build relationships, deepen their understanding of advocacy and organizing, and engage directly with the political process, from local to federal levels. Participants had the chance to meet with state legislators, congressional representatives, and others in power to speak from their own lived experiences and push for change.
What made this cohort so special? It was community-led from start to finish. Participants shared how powerful it felt to connect with others in their neighborhoods, learn how policy is made, gain valuable leadership skills, and gain tools to fight for justice.
We’re now preparing to launch our next CJA cohort, recruitment begins in August, and the new group will kick off in September or October. We can’t wait to do it all again, and we’re committed to keeping CJA rooted in community leadership and lived experience.
