Caroline and Her Daughters are Grateful For You
“It was pouring rain and there was a long line into the food bank,” Caroline says. “One of the volunteers comes out with an umbrella and says, ‘Here, so you can cover your kids from the rain.’ Then, she came out with a bunch of snacks for all the little kids who were in line. It kind of brought a tear to my eye.”
A single mom of two preschool-age daughters, Caroline is working hard as a nursing student and has her sights set on a master’s degree. In the meantime, money is extremely tight. So, she comes to the food bank twice a month to ensure her girls are getting the food they need.
“This isn’t my only source of food,” Caroline says. “I go to the supermarket and buy my own food when I can. But everything is so pricey. So, I just come in here to get a week or two weeks’ worth of food, it’s a big help.”
The help Caroline receives is largely due to friends like you who generously support Food Lifeline. That’s because your gifts help stock food banks all across Western Washington families and children facing hunger.
Thank you for your continued support!
