Advocacy Update: November 19
With the election behind us, Food Lifeline is preparing to work with new and returning state and federal lawmakers on hunger, poverty, and food justice priorities. In the short-term, this means a lame duck Congress and potential action on a farm bill. At the state level, this means responding to potential funding cuts in proposed state operating budgets that will be considered by the Washington State Legislature.
Food Lifeline just posted its 2025 State Advocacy Agenda on our web site. We hope you will support our work with state lawmakers to ensure that important food access and safety net programs are protected from cuts – and better yet, fully funded.
