Free Meals for Kids and Teens This Summer!
Making sure kids have enough nutritious food is essential for helping them learn, grow, and thrive. Fortunately, families in Washington have access to several programs that provide free meals for children and teens during the school year and throughout the summer months.
When school lets out for the summer, free meals are still available for youth ages 18 and under at locations across the state, including schools, parks, libraries, and community centers.
No registration, paperwork, or proof of income is required.
Summer meal sites help ensure kids continue receiving healthy meals even when school cafeterias are closed.

SUN Bucks: Extra Grocery Support for Families
Families may also qualify for SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT. This federal program provides $120 per eligible child to help families purchase groceries during the summer months.
SUN Bucks can be used at most grocery stores and farmers markets anywhere Basic Food (EBT/SNAP) benefits are accepted. Together with free summer meal programs, SUN Bucks help families fill the gap when school meals are unavailable.
Many eligible children are automatically enrolled through participation in programs such as:
- SNAP
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Free school meals
However, there are important steps families can take now to ensure children receive benefits this summer.
Submit a CNEEB Form
One of the easiest ways to make sure your child is considered for SUN Bucks is by submitting a Child Nutrition Education and Eligibility Benefit (CNEEB) form to your child’s school.
If your household income meets the eligibility requirements, submitting the form can automatically enroll your child in SUN Bucks.
Check Your Eligibility
