School Pantry

How can kids learn if they're hungry?

A full 75% of the students at Seattle’s Northgate Elementary qualify for free and reduced lunch, which means getting enough healthy food is a daily challenge for almost all of the school's families. Thanks to the School Pantry program it is now easier for these families to get nutritious and kid-friendly foods.

Food Lifeline now operates a monthly in-school food bank for Northgate’s students, where families fill up grocery bags with nutritious, kid-friendly foods right at school.

Bring your employee or community group out to volunteer at a School Pantry distribution.

School Pantry is one of Food Lifeline’s most rewarding and rare volunteer opportunities. Held once a month during the school day, contact Food Lifeline’s volunteer team if your group of 15-20 would like to reserve one of these coveted opportunities.
