Food Lifeline is hiring for a full-time Director of Development to join our efforts to end hunger in Western Washington. This position oversees and manages all fund development efforts including: Individual Giving, Major Giving, Corporate & Foundations Relations, and Events. This position develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive strategy and annual plans to raise funds to grow and achieve annual multi-million dollar revenue goals in alignment with the organization's strategic plan. This position leads and aligns direct reports and ensures plans, people, processes, and technology required to achieve the goals within the strategic plan are in place and effective.
The Director of Development reports directly to the Chief Development Officer and is a peer to the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director Volunteer Engagement and works closely with leaders in Community Programs, Policy & Advocacy, Agency Programs & Network Development, and Information Systems.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, non-profit management or a related field, a minimum of 7 years' experience managing annual giving programs, including major gifts, and 5 years' of people-management experience.
Candidates for this position will need strong leadership and supervisory skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines with professionalism. This position may be required to represent Food Lifeline at public and/or donor meetings which requires adherence to a high standard of professional behavior.
