2020 Ending Hunger Awards

Outstanding Volunteer Award

Food Lifeline relies on volunteers to sort, pack and distribute food out to the community. In a typical year, our volunteer workforce represents 31 FTE. We could not accomplish our work without them. This year’s Outstanding Volunteer Award goes to Doug Derham and Laura Nykreim.

Outstanding Corporate Donor Award

This year’s Outstanding Corporate Donor Award goes to Sound Community Bank. Check out the video to see all that they are doing to help support those experiencing hunger.

Outstanding Donor Award

As the number of people facing hunger grows throughout Western Washington, we need to source more food. Storage can be challenging, but we find creative solutions with the help of our partners. That is why the 2020 Outstanding Donor Award goes to Lineage Logistics!

Equity Champion Award

We are honored to announce that our 2020 Equity Champion Award goes to Jose Ortiz and the Tri-Parish Food Bank. Check out the video to see how Jose and the team at Tri-Parish Food Bank are working to feed those experiencing hunger today, while solving hunger for tomorrow.

Tom Haley Memorial Award

Food Lifeline is honored to announce that our 2020 Tom Haley Memorial Award goes to Paul Pasquier. Check out the video to see how Paul has dedicated the last decade to ending hunger.

Special Appreciation Award

The need for hunger relief has doubled since March 2020 and we anticipate 1 in 5 of our neighbors will experience food insecurity by winter. These advocates came together to support our community during these challenging times. Please check out the video to see why Food Lifeline is honored to award the COVID-19 Helpers the 2020 Special Appreciation Award.
