Too many of our neighbors in Western Washington go hungry every day, and many of them are children and seniors, who need the protein and nutrients found in beef to grow and stay healthy.
You can help today! When you buy beef at any Haggen Food and Pharmacy or Top Food & Drug store in March, your purchase will benefit the Beef Counts program at Food Lifeline. Haggen, Agri Beef Co. and Washington’s beef family farmers and ranchers will donate 10 cents per pound of beef purchased throughout the month, providing at least 38,000 servings of beef to those in need.
Local farmers and ranchers have provided beef to thousands of hungry neighbors since Beef Counts began in 2010. Each donation is matched by Agri Beef, stretching your gift to provide a consistent supply of beef to the Food Lifeline network. Just a $2 donation can provide the USDA daily recommended amount of protein for an individual in need.
With the combined efforts of Washington’s beef industry, Food Lifeline, and generous local businesses and consumers, we can get high quality beef protein to people in need. Donations are tax deductible.
