HELPING OUT

HOW INDIVIDUALS & COMMUNITIES CAN HELP END HUNGER

The continued support from individuals and local communities is an invaluable resource in our mission to end hunger in Western Washington. There are several ways you can contribute:

Monetary Donations

A $1 donation provides a full day of nutritious meals for a hungry individual, and it's easy:

  • Fill out our online donation form, or visit the donations section of this site for more information.

  • End Hunger from Home. A compelling twist to your usual holiday party – or a fresh and inspiring reason to invite friends over. We provide all the tools you need to bring the hunger story home for your friends and share the importance of our mission to end hunger.

  • Many employers have programs established to match employee donations. Ask your Human Resources department to guide you through the process.

  • Consider making a contribution to Food Lifeline directly from your IRA. If you are 70.5 years or older, donations of up to $100,000 can be made without affecting your income for tax purposes. Please contact your tax professional to discuss this new giving option.

  • Donate shares of stock to Food Lifeline. Check with your tax advisor to see if this is a giving option that would work for you.

  • Include Food Lifeline in your planned giving.  It is a great way to help and create a lasting legacy.
